Author Guidelines

The Bulletin of Science and Research Center of Construction  only accepts for publication original academic papers that suit the subject of the journal and have not been previously published in other print editions.

If you wish to publish your paper in the BULLETIN, please submit the following details to the editorial office at stroyvestnik@cstroy.ru:

  1. Title the article (in Russian and in English).
  2. UDC.
  3. Information on the author in Russian and in English:

3.1. Author’s full name

3.2. Academic degree, academic rank, position, place and address of work/place of study

3.3. Author’s email and contact phone number

Information on the author in Russian and English: i.e., the full first name, patronymic, and last name; exact place of work or study for each author; work address or address of educational institution; email addresses to be published in the journal and for sending the proofs (indicate separately those for publication and those for the editorial office, if applicable), authors’ telephone numbers so we can settle any questions regarding your papers.

  1. Abstract (in Russian and in English): 150-200 words.
  2. Keywords (in Russian and in English): 5-10 words or word combinations.
  3. Introduction.
  4. Main Section.
  5. Conclusion.
  6. References

List of works cited or used, preferably including at least 20 sources, in accordance with GOST R 7.0.5-2008 Bibliographic Reference.

The Reference list should include mainly references to relevant academic research papers by Russian and foreign experts, primarily articles published over the past five years in peer-reviewed scientific periodicals indexed in RSCI, Web of Science, or Scopus.

You should not refer to textbooks and study aids, popular science literature (unless they are not the object of your research), and synopses or thesis papers (if they are not in public domain on the Internet). A full description of GOST, SNiP, resolutions, etc. must be given directly in your paper with the first mention. Next time, indicate only the document number.

Avoid unreasonable self-citations, i.e., too many references to your own papers published in various journals. Self-citing should not exceed 20%.

  1. Article Review. A reviewer must have an academic degree and, preferably, an academic rank in the field relevant to the topic of the paper.
  2. Figures and tables should be labeled.
  3. Figures should be submitted in separate files with the following formats: eps, ai, cdr, jpeg, tiff.

Vector graphics (e.g., diagrams or charts)

CorelDRAW (.cdr) not older than  version 12. All fonts should be converted to curves.

Raster images (photos)

TIFF (JPG or GIF) with a resolution of at least 300 dpi (color images should be in CMYK mode) and a physical size of at least 10 cm on the smaller side.

Making photos (images)

The captions to the photographs (images) must contain the following information: author (initials, surname); name; © owner's mark.

If the photographs (images) are borrowed from other sources, it is necessary to indicate the source of the borrowing and the name of the copyright holder in the caption to the drawing.

According to clause 1 of Article 1274 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, "Free use of a work for informational, scientific, educational or cultural purposes":

"It is allowed without the consent of the author or other copyright holder and without payment of remuneration, but with the obligatory indication of the name of the author whose work is being used and the source of borrowing ...".

  1. Articles with formulas should be duplicated in a PDF file in addition to a Word file to avoid formula miswriting.
  2. A paper should have 15-20 pages with 14-point Times New Roman.
  3. The number of authors (co-authors) should be not more than four. Where justified, there can be more authors; however, co-authors are required to additionally provide their justifications and describe the content/amount of work performed by each of them.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).

 

Privacy Statement

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
