Abstract

Thе article presents the results of the creep and relaxation evaluation of a composite material with a polymer matrix – unidirectional fiberglass. As a result of experimental studies, the parameters of the effect functions on the material relaxation curves are determined. The need to take into account the effect of creep and relaxation on the change in the stress-strain state of structures made of composite materials is shown.

Abstract

The article for the first time proposes the norms on creep deformation as well as on the creep characteristic, average creep rate, flexibility at the duration of loading of polyurethane foam during the shift for 216 days and the level of impact τ/τкр from 0.1 to 0.75 and a temperature of 20, 40 and 60 °C and humidity of 40 and 80 %. The values of changes in quality indicators at different loading and its duration are given. Important information is given on the statistical study of the shear strength of polyurethane foam on the probabilistic schemes of Gauss, Gram-Charles, Pearson, Poisson, which have no analogues in Russia and foreign literature.

Abstract

The systematic data on the system development of design standards for main load-bearing structures made of metal, wood, stone and reinforced concrete is given.

The paper mostly covers the works carried out in TSNIISK named after V. A. Koucherenko and NIIZHB named after A. A. Gvozdev.

The part 1 of this article (see the journal ‘Vestnik NITS Construction’ №3 (14), 2017) considers the history of the development of building structures from ancient times to the XX century. The creation of the first standards in the period of rapid development of construction in the early of XX century is also presented. The part 2 is dedicated to the difficult way of development and creation of standards in the XX and XXI centuries. For the compilation of the essay the authors considered various scientific and popular&scientific publications listed below.

Modern publications of the authors of the standards are not described in detail and the references to original works are given in the text.

The paper is dedicated to the sacrificial work of scientists and engineers of the twentieth century.

Abstract

Metal structures of the football stadiums for the FIFA World Cup 2018 in the different regions of Russia are presented. Metal wide-span spatial designs of roofs over stands for the audience are used in these building. TSNIISK of V.A. Kоucherenko performed works on the scientific and technical support (STS) for their building. These constructions belong to unique since roof structure has spans of more than 100 m and cantilever span more than 20 m. Their construction requires the solutions of the problems which are absent in regulations. Justification of need of carrying out the STS at design, production and installation of designs is given. The list of the main tasks of STS and methods of their decision is provided. The special technical specifications are developed. They contain requirements for ensuring reliability and safety of concrete unique objects. The list of the compelled derogations from existing rules and compensating measures is provided. Questions of STS at all design stages are taken up, including development of recommendations on loadings and actions, calculations and design of roof structures over stands, as well as on providing security from the progressive collapse at emergency actions. The list of tasks and the main results of STS of structures manufacturing and installation is provided, as well as carrying out monitoring at a stage of construction and operation of a building.

Abstract

The temperature and deformations of the laying of the face layer of the outer walls of a large-scale model of the building, formed by external three-layer walls and a one-floor-height slab were investigated. The construction of the model was started in the summer and finished in the fall of 2015. The work reflects the results of observations for the period until January 2018.

It is shown that the VAT of the face layer is greatly influenced by slabs of overlapping. When the structure (masonry) is closed in the warm season, the greatest stretching stresses and bending moments that can cause cracks appear in the face layer during cold weather.

On the basis of the studies, the methods for estimating the VAT of the face layer, the forces in flexible bonds under temperature-humidity influences are refined.

Correlations between the temperature of the outside air and the temperature of the laying of the face layer were refined. It is shown that in three-layer walls when determining the VAT of the laying of the face layer with a thickness of 12 cm or less, it is necessary to take the maximum values of the daily variations in air temperature in absolute value.

Abstract

The results of testing high-strength concrete beam models and composite steel and concrete beam models are presented. The efficiency of application of a straight steel fiber in bent constructions is given. The nature of fracture of the models is described. The results for vertical displacements and widths of cracks are given; comparison with normal values is made. Graphics of stresses and strains in the reinforcement bars and in the concrete of models are presented, their peculiarities are noted. The estimation of existing methods of calculating bending reinforced concrete structures on the first and second group of limit states is done. Features of crack formation and failure patterns of highstrength concrete are given.

Abstract

The work is mainly aimed at developing scientific and methodological approaches to identification of defects in fire retardant coatings that will allow more complete and qualified expert assessment of the state of fire-retardant coatings and, as a result, reduce overall risk levels and fire hazard. The results of research on fire-retardant coatings used on metal structures are given according to such indices as adhesion, intumescence coefficient, chemical composition, thermoanalytical characteristics.

Abstract

A study was made of the physicomechanical and engineering properties of electrically welded straightseamed high-strength pipes. The issue of the relevance of their use in steel structures is considered. The article describes the advantages of a pipe as a structural element as well as the experience of using them as an example of unique structures. The results of full-scale tests of full-scale pipe models for central and eccentric compression are presented. The results of investigations of the steels under consideration are presented. Results of full-scale tests are compared with numerical calculations in the software complex Ansys and with the current normative calculation for SP 16.13330.2017.

Abstract

The article analyzes the experience of design documentation evaluation on the installation of facades, the results of testing vertical guides and fragments of hinged facade systems. It is established that the deformations of the guides are decisive in evaluating the reliability of the "ventilated" facade design.

The main problem considered in this article is the absence of the rules for designing hinged facade systems with different types of cladding in the normative and technical documentation of the Russian Federation.

Abstract

In recent years, in the field of metal structures great attention has been paid to the construction of thin-sheeted cold-formed profiles, active discussions, including scientific circles, are taking place around the newly-issued SP 260.1325800.2016 "Steel thin-walled constructions from cold-formed profiles and corrugated sheets". At the same time, buildings from cold-formed profiles have appeared for a long time, there is quite a lot of experience in erecting and operating such structures both in Russia and abroad.

The article presents the main stages of the development of steel structures from the cold-formed profile. We observed the process of their development from the moment of their appearance on the market up to their realization in the unique modern constructions of our time.

The history of the development of cold-formed profiles originates in the USA, and it developed in parallel in Russia. A powerful leap in the development of these constructive elements is associated with the end of World War II. Approximately at the same time, the first standards for the design of structures from elements were issued.

The article gives an overview of soviet and foreign experience in working with thin-sheeted structures from cold profiles, their features and development process under market conditions.

Abstract

Beams of BSA "Luzhniki" covering with the revealed damage in bolted joints considered. It is shown that as a result of operation structures in a long time, there are failures in operation of the bolt connections, which causes the structures to operate in a limited state. Constant monitoring and timely replacement of hardware required to extend the service life of structures.

Abstract

The author shows that the genesis of the science associated with the transition from sensual-specific to the rational knowledge. The first philosophers were the first scientists, experts in the field of engineering, construction, etc. The author analyzes attempts of the naturally scientific explanation for the origin of the universe, space, animals and humans made by ancient philosophers and scientists. The particular attention is paid to the modern reading of Pythagoras’ ideas, who saw the key to understanding the Universe in mathematics, philosophy, and also the first scientific program of Leucippus, Democritus, that laid the basis of mechanicalism. Based on the analysis of philosophy and science by Aristotle, the author shows that science and philosophy in antiquity were in unity, however, at this stage the premises of their difference are already coming up.
