Abstract
The technique of laboratory determination of the specific normal pressure of frost heaving of soils is given. The dependences of the normal heaving pressure on the soil properties (moisture, density) and the external load are considered. The values of the maximum pressure of soil heaving for various types of soils are presented. The problem of determining the settlement of underlying unfrozen soil under the influence of heaving pressure is considered.

Abstract
Ensuring the stability of the foundations to the action of the tangential forces of frost heave is an important economic task. The solution is necessary for the trouble-free structure operation. One of the promising and economical methods of ensuring the stability of foundations is to reduce the freezing forces between frozen soil and the foundation. Anticorrosive coating is a good solution for these purposes. The applied coatings change the surface properties. This influence is essential in considering mechanical interaction of structural elements with the environment. The article discusses some results of the effect of Interzone954 anti-corrosion coating on the magnitude of the freezing forces, in particular metal piles and berthing facilities.

Abstract
The paper presents several examples of incorrect design values of piles capacity prescribed by projects designed for different regions. Some case histories concerning the mistakes are considered. Pile capacity taken according to the Code of Practice 24.1330.2011, or based on CPTdata or dynamic pile test data was not in line with that taken from static pile test. Ascertained discrepancy between the values results in redesigning pile foundations.

Abstract
The article deals with underground line structures - conduit system for utility supply lines, and discusses the issues concerning the assessment of conduit systems' depreciation, taking into account defects and damage of basic structural elements. A method for calculating conduit systems' depreciation is proposed. According to the method, a priority of repairing works or reconstruction may be planned. The cost of major repairs of conduit systems as a percentage of the cost of their restoration is determined.

Abstract
The article considers an integrated approach to calculating the stability of a large area with a changing surface during the construction process. An example of automation of the processes of choosing the most dangerous design sections and generating geometry of design sections for input into the program is given.

Abstract
The paper presents the results of in-situ dissipation soil test of long duration performed within 985...4081 min with a 3LSU-CPTU probe equipped with lateral pressure gauge. A brief description of soil conditions, utilized equipment and test procedure is given. The paper presents general information on dissipation soil test, and provides the analysis of test results and test regularities. Several approaches of using dissipation curves for assessing pore pressure are proposed.

Abstract
The paper describes the results of dynamic pile tests performed accounting to wave impact theory and analyzed utilizing specific devices and program codes as PDI and CAPWAP. It is noted, that the program codes do not take into account an occurrence of soil plugging during pile driving process. The results of pile tests utilizing wave impact theory, strain gauges and accelerometers are processed and compared to the theoretical solution of the wave equation, which describes pile driving process allowing for soil plugging.

Abstract
The article addresses the issues of recent changes introduced in SP 24.13330. The reasons for the adoption of changes in the text of the regulatory document are shown. The possible ways of development of the set of rules are analyzed. The most problematic topics are identified that require wide discussion by the geotechnical community.

Abstract
Reinforced retaining walls were designed to minimize construction costs of Central Ring Road overpasses. To reduce settlement of the retaining walls, soil properties were improved by arranging vibro stone columns.

Abstract
The article considers a method for determining the in situ pore pressure and vertical effective stress in layers of weakly filtering clay soils. The difference of approaches in determining these parameters in Russia and abroad is noted. An alternative method for determining pore pressure in weakly filtering soil layers based on linear interpolation is proposed. The method allows you to take into account the effect of groundwater pressure under a layer of weakly filtering soil.

Abstract
The article analyzes the results of long-term studies of the processes of freezing and soil heaving, as well as the movement of single piles of various lengths from 6 to 12 m and various structures of raft located in the freezing zone. The processes of freezing and changes in the stress - strain state under the raft are considered. Recommendations are given for the calculation and design of pile foundations in heaving soils.

Abstract
When foundation settlement exceeds limit value, design engineers enlarge the area of foundation bottom, or they design pile foundation. However, this problem could be solved in a different way - by increasing stiffness (deformation modulus) of the soil bedding, namely, by changing the stress-strain state of the soil mass. The paper describes the way of changing stress-strain conditions by applying multiple injections of solidifying solution into a soil mass.
