He has published more than 100 monographs and articles, and registered more than 50 patents for inventions. Researcher A.I. Zvezdov is the author of the concept of concretes with compensated shrinkage, co–author of a number of unique developments that have no analogues in world practice (reinforced concrete aqueducts without a metal core; reinforced concrete coatings without deformation seams for roads, airfields, bridges; seamless floors for industrial buildings; capacitive structures without additional waterproofing for liquids; reinforced concrete containers for the storage and burial of radioactive waste, etc.).

Based on the technology developed under the leadership of A.I. Zvezdov, a significant breakthrough has been made in high-rise construction, doubling the number of storeys of the building without increasing the load from its own weight on the lower floor and the base. A special material has been developed for restoration and restoration work on buildings with architectural facade decorations, meeting not only aesthetic requirements, but also capable of not being destroyed for at least 50 years in the aggressive environment of an industrial center. Specialists of theResearch Institute of Concrete and Reinforced Concrete named after A.A. Gvozdev, JSC Research Center of Construction under the guidance of A.I. Zvezdov have developed building codes and rules of the Russian Federation "Concrete and reinforced concrete structures. Basic provisions" (SNiP 52-01-2003), as well as sets of rules for the design of reinforced concrete structures both without prestressing and with prestressing.
