- probabilistic approach to solving problems of structural mechanics;
- dynamic effects on structures;
- protection of structures from dynamic influences;
- reliability of buildings and structures;
- earthquake resistance of buildings and structures;
- a combination of numerical and analytical approaches in solving problems of structural mechanics, including using modern software systems.
Teaching experience is more than 30 years. More than 160 papers have been published, including in publications included in the Scopus and Web of Science citation systems. He is the author of a number of educational and methodological complexes and work programs. Under the guidance of V.L. Mondrus, 12 graduate students successfully defended their PhD theses.
A well-known specialist in the field of earthquake-resistant construction.
